Things to be aware of when attending in-person activities:
- Vaccinations: TDT has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, effective until May 31, 2022. All patrons, artists and staff are required to be fully vaccinated and must show proof of vaccination along with valid I.D. when attending or participating in a program. As of June 1, 2022, patrons will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination to attend in-person events.
- Face Masks: Patrons and staff are required to wear masks at all times for in-person events, effective until May 31, 2022. Even if you are vaccinated, you are still required to wear a face mask that covers your nose, mouth and chin. As of June 1, 2022, face masks will be optional for patrons.
- Sanitation: There is a hand sanitizing station when you enter the lobby at the Winchester Street Theatre. There is also a sanitizing station in every studio within the facility.
- Reduced Contact: As much as possible, interactions between TDT staff and patrons will be contactless. This includes ticket scanning and box office transactions.
Please do not attend an in-person event or class if you have a fever or are experiencing any other symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of attending, or have been in close contact with someone suspected or confirmed of having COVID-19.
Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
TDT has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all persons entering its premises at the Winchester Street Theatre (80 Winchester St.) that will remain effective until May 31, 2022. Patrons, artists and class participants attending public activities at Toronto Dance Theatre will be required to be fully vaccinated. As of June 2, 2022, in-person attendees will no longer be required to present proof of vaccination when attending live activities.
HOW IT WORKS
Until May 31, 2022, patrons will be shown the terms of the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy before buying tickets or registering for activities online. Prior to the event date, they will receive a follow-up email with instructions for providing proof of vaccination. Patrons will be required upon arrival to show their official vaccine certificate along with a valid photo I.D. card. Be prepared to show this each time you enter the building. Please do not send in advance as we cannot store this information on your file.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Policy was implemented as an open-ended one. In other words, changes or reversals can be made to the policy, informed by updates relating to infection rates, transmission data, variant developments, and local, provincial and federal regulations.
HOW DO I GET PROOF OF VACCINATION?
Your enhanced Vaccine Certificate, which shows the QR code along with your name and date of vaccinations, is accepted. These can be printed or accessed through the Government of Ontario’s Provincial Portal.
Be prepared to show this each time you enter the building. Please do not send in advance as we cannot store this information on your file. No health record information will be scanned, stored, or shared.
WHAT IF I AM EXEMPT FROM GETTING VACCINATED?
Any patron needing an exemption due to a medical condition or disability will need to show the QR Code for their vaccine exemption certificate along with a valid photo I.D. card.
WILL I STILL HAVE TO WEAR A MASK?
Yes, masks will still be required inside the Winchester Street Theatre and for any TDT events until further notice.
I HAVE NO INTENTION OF GETTING VACCINATED. WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
Our vaccination policy was created with the safety of all of our patrons and community in mind. Until further notice, you will not be permitted inside the Winchester Street Theatre. If you require an exemption due to a medical condition or disability, please see above.
