Workshop with Vincent Jonsson (hosted by Liz Kinoshita + Company)

The class I (Vincent Jonsson) teach focuses on how to move around and through ourselves, how to travel through the space, both in the vertical and horizontal plane, how to work with jumps, runs, turns and slides. One term to describe the class is floor-work, but I also work with principles that can be applied in relation to a partner. The class it self is energetic and deals with tools from both contemporary dancing, flying low, martial arts and other related movement practices.

This is one of three workshops leading up to the international production, You Can’t Take It With You, presented on November 19 at the Winchester Street Theatre by the Toronto Dance Community Love-In, in partnership with TDT. Full Details
