Thursday April 28 at 8:00 p.m. EDT / 5:00 p.m. PDT
Tune in for a premiere of Punking Legacy: Digital Conversations with Viktor Manoel and Ashley Colours Perez, commissioned as part of the TD Bridgemakers Project. This event is an opportunity for audiences to be the first to see Ashley and Viktor’s collaboration, followed by a live conversation where the artists discuss their process in creating the work.
About the Project
Connecting through social media during the first two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, dance artist Ashley Colours Perez (Toronto) and the last living Original Punker Viktor Manoel (West Hollywood) share, reflect and discuss their connection to a dance style called Punking, performance personas and how they keep their artistic integrity in the ever-changing world.
Following the premiere, Viktor and Ashley’s project will be added to the TD Bridgemakers Project webpage and remain available to watch on-demand for the remainder of our 2021/22 Season.
TD Bridgemakers Project is generously supported by TD Canada Trust through the TD Ready Commitment initiative, as well as the Canada Council for the Arts through the Digital Now initiative.
